wow...thisz sounds really familiar....well look at it this way...who have you known longer? ur best friend or him?
is it really worth breaking up the relationship you share with you best friend? guys will come n go...but your friends will always be there....it takes time hun.....you will get over him...dnt do anything hasty that you may regret....your best friend should understand wat you are going thru and if not....talk to her and tell her how u feel....if she is truly your best friend....she will help you thru this....dnt feel bad....im practically in the same situation u are in....so dnt worry.....just give it time....meet new people and explore whats out there....life is too short to sit around n mope over lil things like this....we're not young forever....so life shud be lived to the fullest.......dnt let this hold you back from anything....its just a barrier in life that you need to learn to overcome....it may be hard...but no one said life would be easy....they just said it would be worthwhile! ;)

This is a tough situation, what you could do to at least buffer the situation is maybe make sure that you spend time with your friend and her mother someplace that is not associated with your ex. Tell them that at least for a while you need for them not to talk to you about him because it make it hard to get over a relationship when this person is coming up in conversation. Most importantly, move on with your life, try to find something or someone that you enjoy to spend your time on that is not in any way associated with your ex. You can still be close with his family but you should definitely put a little distance at least for a while, and you can tell his family this and I'm sure they will understand! Good Luck. I know it's hard when you get to be so close with a partners family!

I am a MOM, age 48 w/ 2 grown children, and one is a girl.
So, I advise you the following:
1. Talk to the Mother and sister about this. & your Mom too.
2. Tell the Brother how you feel, and seek his advise.
3. Do what your heart says for you to do, it will NEVER lead you wrong.
4. Go with it.... : )
It is really that simple.
I hope everything works out soon. I was young once too. : )

You don't have to forfeit your relationships with your friend and the family because of your breakup. You may, however, need to put just a little distance between you and them until your heart has a chance to heal. I too, was once in this situation. I ended up giving up the boyfriend, the Mom, the Dad and the entire family. I still miss them. That was many years ago, still hurts a little. Good luck.

Hang out with other guys and girls, but keep your relationship with your ex just as friends. Don't be hostile towards him, because that makes things worse. But still be friends with his sister! Don't let him get in the way of your friendship.

Getting over an ex is difficult. Sometimes it can take a long time to heal. I suggest keeping yourself occupied. Do fun activities to keep your mind off of him. You CAN still share a friendship with your best friend and her mother.

That really is going to be difficult. The only way I personally think that you could get over someone is by cutting all ties. Otherwise your heart just keeps breaking over and over.
Good luck. =)

Sweetheart, Here is what you do, it may take time, but find someone else! This is very important, if you stop liking someone MOVE ON it will only hurt you more to like someone you know trouble will occur. So find someone knew and experiment with him. Maybe the Ex will get jelous ;-)
