Yes, I was resented because I was hired into a place in a manager's position ahead of someone who already worked there and was told he would get the job I was offered. I delt with the hostility for a few months, and when my suprevisors wouldn't back me up in dealing with the problem, I quit.

I guess you could say that in a way, I am kind of a perfectionist. I try really hard to please everyone in all aspects of my job (and personal life as well) and it will never work. I cannot please everyone all of the time. In the past when I have made a mistake (and yes, I am only human) I have been talked to. It goes all over me and I get upset. At the same time, I am in charge of certain things and when I have told a co-worker about a mistake they have made, I have been told that I am wrong and they go to the supervisor about it. In one instance, the supervisor said to the co-worker that I was correct and they should have listened to me. I was looked down upon for quite a while .. and that person no longer speaks to me unless she just HAS to. It makes for a long day. But, I just go on, do my job to the best of my ability...that's all I can do. I don't like for people to hate me .. but if they do .. Oh well! I am a very sensitive person and I know that about myself...but I try to put it all in perspective. It's not the end of the world if everyone I come into contact with doesn't love me.

Yes!! I am a superintendant on a construction site and I know what it feels like to be hated buy a lot of people. But let me assure you that the sun always comes up in the morning. I just keep my chin up and continue doing what I know to do, Because it is the proffesinal thing to do. WE are not there to make friends. So Keep your chin up,adjust your sholders, and show all the rest that, YOU are unmoveable in your resolve. EYES ahead and Look to tommorrow. for the sun will shine then as well.

Oh yes, from Day #2. The girl training me hated me for some reason, kept a file about me on her computer, snarked at me for no reason while I was being trained, and 4 days later I was mysteriously fired in the midst of my training. The manager said "It's just not working out." That's the only thing that was said. I happily said "OK! Let me get my things!"

Yes, at my first office job when I was 19. I was the youngest girl there, and probably one of the thinnest. Most of the other girls in the office were fat, and very jealous. They would not show me the right way to do something, then if I did it wrong, they would run to the boss and snitch. I left after a few months of trying to be nice and trying to do a good job anyway.

Sometimes I do but I haven't done anything. I think it's because I sometimes try to hard and end up looking like a suck up, which Im not.
