I remember worrying over such questions as a kid. The explanation is really pretty simple. As one means of exerting control over their followers, religious clergy are particularly concerned with controlling the sex drive, one of the most powerful human urges. Part of their method is to make sex dirty and secretive and sinful. It surely would not do for the Son Of God to be associated with such a filthy thing as sex, so the miracle of Immaculate Conception was invented -- invented -- to avoid the sexual part of the birth of Jesus.

Read the bible Mary willingly took position of bringing Jesus into the world. The angel Gabriel came to Mary and Mary willingly accepted to do God's will.

Based upon the text, and presuming the texts describe a real world event, then yes she was both willing and aware given both the simple read of the texts and other Christian writings near the Gospels.

Suggest you read Luke 1:26-38. If there was ever a case of consensual sex, *this* was it! And what greater privilege than to bring forth Jesus, the One and Only unique Son of God and the *only* Savior of all of mankind?!
BTW, rape is about violence not about sex!
