i did this in school. i just had a little basket and a washecloth for padding. i failed lol i had twins. i let a friend babysit and she broke one and i was holding the other in the basket and someone asked what time it was and i flipped my wrist over to look and that made the basket flip over and my egg baby fell to the ground. so maybe you want something with a lid on it lol. i have 3 kids now and im 10 weeks preg and i havent dropped them lol so i guess im better with real babies/kids

That is the oldest lesson plan in the book, and not very accurate or adequate...Your school should have stepped up and gotten the real electronic babies I had to use when I was in HS.
The things had a key (the "bottle") and you had to keep the key with you (tethered to you) at all times, as well as the baby. And you never knew when it was going to cry. That whole experience was a real eye opener. Doing the middle of the night "feedings" was a pain. If you didn't keep the key in the socket in the kids back long enough, or with enough pressure it would start crying again...horrible. And that was why I didn't have a kid until the middle of my twenties. HEH.
Anyway... back on subject... :P sorry!
Cotton balls would be good, lots and lots of them. And and put masking tape around the egg, that might help too.
Baby-Think-It-Over, that was the baby tool thing...

Oo I did this but I only had to have it for 2 days. Ha lucky me! But anyways one thing my friend did is put cotten balls ALL around it and just tape the cotten in place on the egg baby. And if you have a lot of stuffing in the container too then the egg baby wont crack, unless your really clumsy. But anyways if your wondering mine did crack i sorta pushed it off my desk lol.

cotton balls work, and you can also try to make some sort of a cover for the top of the container to help stop it from falling out. Have fun with this project and try to really grasp the meaning of it.

Treat it like a real baby. You wouldn't put a real baby in a box. Maybe get a small purse and pretend that it is a baby carrier and put a small piece of cloth around it like it is a baby blanket.

cotton balls wrapped in tissues very snug, not tight, you don't want the tissues to break the eggs. so make it snug.
i had to do that, we could either decide flour bag or egg. i chose flour bag, then got twins. sucked. haha!

I had to do that too. I put mine in a small basket and put a washcloth underneath it. Other than that you just have to be careful. Best of luck!
