I am going to a gala where the attire is ball gowns and tuxedos. I go to this thing every year, and I usually get my hair done by a professional (because I am not super girl). Last year, the lady who did my hair was drunk or something, because it just looked awful. This year, I think I am going to give it a try myself, since last year was such a disaster. So......

Do you know of a good website, that caters to:
a hairstyle amateur
up-dos
&
for long hair.

Erica: Stalk all you want. I know this question wouldn't do to good in the hockey section.
Jenni would say that it needs to look nice so I can get some.
Cyrenaica would tell me the most statically correct style.
Chris would ask what an up-do is.
Bob would find an article on up-do's and argue the differences between Philly hair styles compared to Detroit hairstyles.
Moose would tell me to wear pig-tails.
Wings Fans would say no one cares, just make sure your hair smells good.
Mike would ask if there is a game on that night.
2eighty8 would say to shave my head.
PuckDat would say to shape it in a ball like Uhura in Star Trek
LITY would say to wear it like Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's
TB Lightning would ask if the gala is at the forum
cme would say that if he was my date there is no need to fix up the hair when it will be screwed up later that night, anyway *wink*.

I know there are more silly people and silly answers I would get in the hockey section.

Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's

Great movie
Great actress

Are you as tall and graceful as Audrey?

As for the rest of your comments........it's funny how well you get to know people because I can see all of it as being accurate, especially CME, PuckDat and Bob

I wouldn't tell you to shave your head. Where'd you get that silly idea from? Aside from my...what's it called...goatee without the facial hair between the upper lip and nose...whatever...aside from that, I don't have a clue on anything hair. All I know is shave my dome, shave the sides of my face and aformentioned space between upper lip and nose, and trim my chin as short as possible when it's available to be braided. lol

Just make sure you're not drunk or something when you do this, okay?

Remember what happened last year.

jonathan e: I think that record was set about a month ago. Man, that was a fun weekend.

Heeey, Haley... I don't mean to be a stalker, but I never put together YouTube & up-do tutorials either! This might prove very useful to me, so I'm going to star this question. :)
