You don't say if you loaded the software that came with your Lexmark--I assume you did. That software should include formatting settings and you can normally adjust them as needed.

Do you have a photo editor program on your computer? If you do you should be able to use it to operate your scanner. I use Microsoft Photo Editor and it works pretty well, even though it is a very basic and somewhat clunky package.

Most operating systems will let you designate where you can save photos or other files you have downloaded or created as you do with your scanner or a digital camera program, but usually a scanner or digital camera's software will set up files for you.

You may want to see if your Lexmark has created a directory for you and determine whether you are looking at the scanned pictures or thumbnails of them. If they are thumbnails they will appear exactly as you have described them, and the photos will be elsewhere.

Most windows systems have built in imaging software, and you can try to open your photos with these. Without imaging software the photos will usually open in Internet Explorer, which doesn't really let you do much of anything.

When you bought your Lexmark a CD should have come with it and you should have installed the printer/scanner using it. Your Lexmark All-In-One tab should let you look at this software and should be able to help you find your photos if they are saved in a bigger format.

My sixth sense tells me they probably are and you just need to find them and find a way to open them. What you have seen is probably not the actual photos.

There is no way I can specifically advise you on how to go about this. I don't know what Operating System you are using. I am pretty good in Windows 2000, which is similar to XP, and older systems such as Windows 98. I don't know what Vista uses, and have to feel my way through XP to make the functions work. But chances are they are all pretty similar.

Take your time, try to find the directory and see if imaging software doesn't give you some help. Good luck.

You have configured or selected something too small. Look over all your scanner settings, you are missing some tab or selection someplace. Try clicking on all the dropdown boxes, and anything that says resolution. You want your resolution to be something like 300.

Ok well I have a lexmark Printer scanner etc. I scan them and them already have correct size, but if you are finding your size too small~ be careful of how you save them. Maybe you are saving it too small.
