It's fine to freeze a pumpkin pie. When you take it out of the freezer, thaw it at room temperature, then heat before serving.

What time should I drop by for a slice? I like mine with a "dollop" of whipped cream.

Baked pumpkin pies can be frozen for 1 - 2 months and then thawed in refrigerator. But the quality of a freshly baked homemade pumpkin pie is usually better than a frozen one -- it's easiest and better to freeze the crust. Add the filling to the frozen crust (no need to thaw) just before baking and bake as usual.

Yes, but...any custard pie is only good if used within a short time of freezing, say up to 2 or 3 months. You will note a difference in consistency but it will taste fine.
