He could do magic tricks a bit like Paul Daniels (but with the bearded good looks of a Bee Gee in a dress) and was really handy at parties when you ran out of booze. That's why Jesus was special.

Amen! I've been saying this for a long time! it is my belief that if I study, if I focus on purifying my soul, if I truly believe and understand, I can do the same things Jesus did. He was a pure soul, and was in close communication with all that is in the Universe. Jesus is special because he showed us all how to live if we want to achieve enlightenment and purity of heart.
I'm a child of God too!

We are told that Jesus is the son of Mary and the LORD God himself. But through his mother he had human nature and had to resist sin. We are told that he was sinless because he wanted to do his Father's will.
He submitted to his Father's will. He taught the people and healed them and finally gave his life for them.
Jesus was resurrected from the tomb the third day and taught his disciples before ascending to heaven.
When Jesus had started his ministry he was baptised and as he came up out of the water the Holy Spirit as a dove alighted on him and the voice of God said 'This is my beloved son hear him.'
Jesus came to save sinners if they wish to obey God and love their neighbours.

He lived without sin. He was in God's favor as a human although all other humans were sinning. He was faced with greater temptations than any other but yet he never gave in.
What is special about Jesus is that he was perfect.

The question is - "how can YOU get to God?" No mater how hard you try and no mater how strong you develop your belief, you cannot reach God. He is as far above us (not physically) as we are above a bacteria. He nonetheless loves each one of us for we are the height of His creation. As we cannot get to Him, He sent His Son, Jesus of Nazareth, in flesh and blood to us so we could SEE Him. Jesus became the Christ and went to the Cross to eliminate the punishment of death. We have a new way to be with God. Jesus calls it the New and Everlasting Covenant.

jesus is the only begotten son of god (john 3;16) so this means that he is god's son in a way that no one else is that being that God did not create jesus as he did all of us jesus was in the beginning he was with god and he is god (john 1:1) its all in the bible if you take the time to read it instead of making silly remarks and dont forget that you all will be judged when jesus returns

Jesus is the incarnate son of God. He is part of the trinity, The Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Christ emptied himself of his Glory and came into our world to pay the price for our sins. We only become the children of God by identifying ourselves with Christ.

Everyone is not a child of God but everyone is a creation of God. Jesus is God in flesh, sinless and perfect.
