My younger brother told me that his internet wasn't working.
He said he accidentally deleted his 'wireless connecting program' thing.

I had things to do, but I decided to help him. During an hour or so of struggling, I cursed out alot. And after an hour, I gave up, and I said "I did what I could, and it's your fault."

Was I being mean?

Well, you could have put it in better words - he already knows he made a mistake and he though well enough of you to think you could correct it. So you couldn't - oh well, he can find a way to reinstall the program - some systems come with a disc just in case you accidentally delete it, I hope that is the case for your brother. He probably feels stupid enough already about it so don't go further with what you said, just let him know you did all you could and he has to take it from there. You could give him suggestions on who to contact - but be patient with him, you'd want someone to be patient with you if you were in his shoes- anyone would. He does have to deal with it though, and learn from it hopefully.
Peace!

Well, you were wrong with the cursing out and yelling and telling him that it was his fault. Now THAT was wrong. But it's even more wrong when you're not concerned of whether it was wrong or not that you said that. At least everyone that reads your question knows that you have a good contients ( meaning you thought about what you had said) But I think you know that you were wrong. Just the next time if you feel like you're going to be mean about it, don't bother helping him. But you SHOULD hlep him, that's your brother after all. But be nice, because we all make mistakes, and one day you may need someone to help you with something , and you don't want them to be cursing and yelling at you, now do you? So just remember to treat others the way you want to be treated.

You shouldn't have done that to your little brother. You should have been a little bit nicer! He is your family! I would apologize. You are jut like my father he did that when he was trying to build a new computer and he was really hard to get along with for so long.

you were a little, but its understandable, being under pressure but a long as you let your little bro know that you tried all you could and you werent angry at him but at the fact you couldn't recitfy what he had done wrong, you shouldn't feel too guilty. hope this helps, x
