Yeshua said, I AM the Way - and the Truth and the Life; no one comes to the Father except through me. - John 14:6 (COMPLETE JEWISH BIBLE)

Yeshua the Messiah is the embodiment of the Torah, He is the Living Word.

The Way:

Jer 6:16 Thus says the LORD, "Stand by the ways and see and ask for the ancient paths, Where the good way (The Torah) is, and walk in it; And you shall find rest for your souls. But they said, 'We will not walk in it.' (NASB)

The Truth:

Psa 119:142 Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, And Thy law (Torah) is truth. (NASB)

The Life:

Deu 30:19 "I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. So choose life (The Torah Commandments) in order that you may live, you and your descendants, (NASB)

Deu 30:10 if you obey the LORD your God to keep His commandments and His statutes which are written in this book of the law (Torah), if you turn to the LORD your God with all your heart and soul.

Is not the word of God the truth ?
Was Jesus not the word ?
Would not this mean Jesus is the truth ?
So would not this then lead to the conclusion that worship in spirit and truth refer to worshiping God through Jesus ?
John 14:6 + 16:23&24

In John 4:24, it is written: "God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth". The declaration from Jesus have two components: 1) In spirit and 2) in truth.

The Spirit - Paul makes a clear distinction between the spirit and the flesh in Galatians 5:16-26. But, reading from verse 22: "22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. 24 And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires." In short, a Christian is Christ like and have completely submitted himself to the will of God, not being engaged in worldly activities, having buried his old life being renewed in the renewing of life in Christ.

In truth - The comments that were made regarding Jesus being the Way, the Truth and the Life (John 14:6) are true. Jesus is the Truth, His word is Truth. However, I can't help to mention that in the world that we live, not many are worshipping God in Truth. So many men made religions are outthere and the confusion reign. They are in fact worshipping error. But the Lord, our God, is not the author of that confusion (1 Cor 14:33). Unfortunately, they are obeying the commandments of men and not of God (Mat 15:8-9). It is with tears that I say that their end is destruction unless they repent for the Lord Jesus said that not every one that says Lord, Lord, shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but those who DO the will of the Father (Mat 7:21). Truth has to do with everthing that proceeds from the mouth of God which we can read in the Bible.

So we can see that one may have an appearance of godliness, but the Lord said that acceptable worship is to do it in "spirit AND in truth".

In the context that you ask your question "truth" is the opposite of hypocrisy, or play acting, or just going through a religious ritual without having an awareness of God and faith that He is pleased by the actions being performed. It refers to what is going on in the heart of the worshiper.

If you have the Holy Spirit, you have the truth, because it is only through the "revelation of Jesus Christ" that truth is found; Gal 1:12, John 14:26, John 15:26, Jesus said, "But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, EVEN THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH, which proceedeth from the Father, HE SHALL TESTIFY OF ME:"

If the light in you is darkness, then your truth is as the false gold and silver which James describes in 5:3, "Your gold and silver is cankered; and the RUST of them shall be a witness against you...", but Proverbs 2:3-4, "Yea, if thou criest after KNOWLEDGE, and liftest up thy VOICE for UNDERSTANDING; If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures;"; to whom do you lift up your voice for this hid treasure? God!!!

The word of God is truth

Yahshua is the embodiment of the word of God and therefore is truth.

The second statement in no way changes the first. God's word, all of it.

If Yahshua was the embodiment of the word of God does it make sense to anyone here that Yahshua would have done away with any part of the word of God?

NO!

Repent! The kingdom of God is at hand!

Jesus is the Truth.

John 14
Thomas said to Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?”
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him.”
