Where were you during history class? That's what the Pilgrims were doing. Religious persecution is a thing that will always motivate people. So what you're saying is that you want to force any one that isn't your religion to leave ? Why don't you just leave ? Maybe your God will make a new planet just for you! Or maybe 'ethnic cleansing' is the way you would prefer to enforce your Gods' way?You could all move to Utah and start a cult or something. Oh yeah, somebody already beat ya to it.

Probably because that's about the only thing they'd agree on. Beyond "is there a god?", there are a million other pieces to our personalities, beliefs, morals, and readings (even within the same books) that would cause the same amount of fighting, disrespect, etc. that we already have. People have tried this. It does not work. Each individual is an individual, no matter how similar your beliefs with another person. SOMETHING isn't going to match.

Yes, we should totally separate our freedom of thought and religion from each other and stifle the intellectual processes that move our society forward. Screw the First Amendment!! Hell, while we're at it, we should seperate blacks, Jews, hispanics, handicapped people, old people, etc. That would be great, one big ignorant society with little seperate pockets of ignorance. Do you have any suggestions where and how we are to do that? Do you have something against freedom of religion, freedom of speech? Do you really believe that people who just worship the same way can also live in peace? The rest of life doesn't get in the way?
