Cats are very independent and don't require a lot of care. Food and love and a cat box. (keep the cat box clean). They can scratch furniture but you can build or buy a cat scratch post....made especially for scratching. Cats like their claws sharp. DO NOT DE CLAW. Some people have their cats declawed which means, the toes are chopped off at the first joint. It is dangerous, painful and disfiguring and leave the cat defenseless if outside.
I'm told bunnies are fun and can be trained but I've never had one as a pet. They can be housebroken. or a back yard pet. I personally would not want to cage one unless it was for their protection against neighborhood cats.

i think that cats are AWESOME pets!!! they dont make messes a lot, will NOT bite unless u r bothering them, but will not bite hard enough 2 draw blood unless u r hurting them badly, and WILL NOT tear furniture IF u buy or make a scratching post (there are very cheap scratching posts made of cardboard that my cats LOVE), but the only hassle with cats is cleaning the litterbox, which takes about 2 minutes. I have 4 cats myself and their all very affectionate =^.^= i dont know much about rabbits though.......GET A CAT and prove ur parents wrong!!!! =^.^=

Cats are great pets. I had 2 that I had to give away to a friend because I was moving. Her teens had a ferret and iguana and they all got along great. but get a kitten so it will know the guineas are pets too. I've also had a rabbit as an indoor pet. It was interesting.

I have no longer in my opinion owned a puppy rabbit however certainly one of my near peers have! She mentioned that they're high-quality and loving. I have no idea a lot approximately bunnies however I have obvious plenty and plenty of my peers have them so I wager I can deliver you a few commonplace suggestions on them. I believe they don't seem to be as rough to handle as puppies and all however no longer as functional as fish. They would be a bit of of a anguish due to the fact repeatedly it smells with them within the residence however instead of that there's not anything so unhealthy approximately them. Of path I could no longer have essentially the most correct reply on account that I not ever had one however so much of my peers say just about that approximately bunnies. They are first rate! I believe you must get one if you're considering it. But first believe approximately the obligations that come.

okay, I used to be a dog person meaning I have had dogs my whole life but then I decided to get cats and they are awesome. I love mine so much that i am adding a kitten to the group. i dont think they get into any more trouble than dogs. it just has to do with proper training and trimming a cats claws helps alot. I have created a new group that would help you a whole lot on this matter called FURBABIES_AND_FRIENDS_SUPPORT_AND_TIPS@yahoogroups.com. check us out and I believe we can help you alot. Plus if you dont like the group you can always leave no questions asked.

I have four cats and I wouldn't trade them for the world! They get into things sometimes that they shouldn't (plants, stuff that's laying arond, etc) but otherwise are pretty well behaved. If you get a cat make sure it has a good temperment, though. My boyfriend has a cat who is pure evil and will bite anyone who tries to touch it!

Cats are very good pets just make sure to get one that is mellow, and starts to purr when you pick it up, just like all animals they all have different personalities. so take the time to pick the one that is suited to you and he or she will be your best friend. I never had a Bunnie so don't know about them. Good Luck

cons of cats..... male cats marking their teritory in your house (should stop once they get neutered), they can claw at your furniture (if you start while they are young with a water pistol then that should stop them too). I have cats, got offered a rabbit and said no because they gnaw through your cables, their hutches smell and they take more looking after, glad I went for the cats. I have 2 and they are lovely.

i used to have a bunny and i loved it but it had a bit of an attitude. We had trouble remembering to clean its cage and it was always a hassle to do so. i have heard that they can be potty trained to use a litterbox, but we didnt want to take the time and we made a cage for it outside.it would start to smell though and in the winter every thing would freeze. i hope i helped.
