In medicine, malignant is a clinical term that means to be severe and become progressively worse, as in malignant hypertension. In the context of cancer, a malignant tumor can invade and destroy nearby tissue and may also spread (metastasize).

It can be found out by various tests and specially by BIOPSY test of the tissue of the tumour.

After this the a detailed treatment programme is required to be made such as further assessment of the malignancy, Grade and Stage of the disease, medicine to be used in Chemotherapy, amount of radiation to be given, apart from surgery. -
