I never had pain. Mine came undone after a few months.

Yes.Usually this can indicate a possible infection or rejection of the sling. Also straining (heavy lifting) can cause undue stress on the body and may cause the sling to experience difficulty, such as twisting, slipping, etc... I know of a few gals who had a very similiar problem....see your doctor immediately and rule out whether or not the sling is the problem. It could be that maybe you just pulled muscles while straining or have a bladder infection, etc... its worth a visit to the doc to put your mind at ease and if it is something that needs to be addressed with meds or surgery, the best thing to do is to catch it early on. Good luck!!!

I'm getting a bladder sling in Jan. My MD uses a TVT sling because he said that's the one they found works the best. Right after surgery, you're not supposed to lift anything heavier than a 1/2 gallon of milk.

Some things that can affect post surgery are obesity, chronic cough, radiation therapy, low estrogen level after menopause, strenuous physical activity and poor nutrition.

Most surgical failures are due to inaccurate diagnosis. Other reasons for surgical failure are obesity, healing complications, surgery not well done, incorrect diagnosis that is not determined before surgery.

I believe some of your symptoms can be caused by the surgery (anything that pulls on the bladder or pelvis).

If I were you I would call my MD & maybe make an appt. to let him check the surgery & healing.

Best of luck to you.
