Sharing files on Limewire that have DRM or are copyrighted is illegal; however, few people are ever found guilty of this kind of file sharing. I know many people who use Limewire (I don't because of the viruses), and they are not afraid of being caught. If you are that afraid, consider using a proxy or some sort of encryption.

No, however you'll do unlawful matters with it. Take your auto, for illustration. You can force the auto legally, however you'll additionally hit peds and pass on a rampage. Same car, used in a different way. Same for limewire.

not really. you can download stuff. the record companies can sue you but its really up to the judge to decide whether it is legal or not. each case is decided individually. i doubt the record company would take you all the way if you called their bluff. a court case can last a year. so are they really prepared to go to court and battle you for a year? you have the most chance of getting sued in usa. outside of usa, the liklihood of you getting sued is 0.

The program itself is not illegal, what you do with it could be.
Just read the help files and don't share copyrighted material.
