All the Jr. bashing needs to stop. I hope to see DEI go down in flames; Teresa should've given Jr. ownership like he wanted. He has the skills, but he can't win races with less than optimal equipment like he's had at DEI. He has his own shop and Martin Truex has won Busch races in his cars, so he knows what he's doing. I have been a Jr. fan since '03 and I hope to see him win his first cup championship at HMS, while wiping the floor with Gordon and Johnson. Period.

I think the only way DEI is going to survive is for Teresa to stay out of things.

Yes. Jr was not DEI. for those of you who don't do research, here's a history lesson for you.
DEI was formed in 1980 (Dale Jr was born in '76). Jr did not "join" the company until 1996. That gives 16 years to DEI without Jr being 'at the helm' and yet the company survived just fine. Granted, Jr is a huge cash cow and not having that revenue will hurt, but he was not THE COMPANY.
Martin Truex Jr is now getting to step up and show what he can do and with Mark Martin "lurking" around the shop and driving once in a while, they will be fine.

Some people are just plain nuts. DEI was winning races and championships long before Jr. ever drove a stock car. DEI will be just fine without Dale. RCR has managed to survive with Dale Sr, and he could actually win races. If DEI can give Mark Martin some good equipment and keep Truex running as well as he has been, next year could be interesting.

They won't just survive, they'll thrive and be more successful without the spoiled brat blowing expensive engines every week or two. He's lucky DEI didn't fire him before season's end with his sorry performance.Just because your name is on the building doesn't win races or make up for lack of talent.
When Mark Martin is driving the #8 next year it will actually visit Victory Lane a time or two.

Martin Truex Jr. is a heck of a driver. He did a good job this year and D.E.I. can and will survive. Face it, Jr. is not that great and I wish you people would get that in your heads. He is never going to win a Cup and at best, he is an average driver! Good god! Next season can't come fast enough to show you all this! I wish him the best of luck but I don't think it's going to change anything. Look, he came up with Matt K. and he has done a hell of a better job than Jr. SO WAKE UP JR. NATION AND JUST GIVE IT UP. I am so tired of talking about Jr.

yes i guess they will longs martin truex stays with them. but i hope not i think thersa is wrong for what she is doing.jr is a great driver. but jr has respect for her so he did the right thing to just move on with another team.im surprised where he went cause i thought he would of gone with rcr. but that didnt happen. so where ever jr goes i will always follow him.

Yeah I do. Truex is a good driver and you have Mark Martin there to help get over the rough times. The jury is still out on Paul Menard. I think they will win but i dont see them winning a championship.
