Why can't people get this one right? Some people want to say Christmas tress are a religious symbol. Pine Trees have absolutely nothing to do with Jesus Christ! Neither does an imaginary fat man with a big beard! If the ACLU wants to eliminate Christmas Tress and Santa I could care less! They mean nothing! They have nothing to do with the true meaning of Christmas. They are simply there to get people's mind off of God! Thats why these phony idols are created.

I don't need no Anti-Jewish answers. How can people have such hate? The Jews are God's people! Although I may disagree with some Jews, I respect them and treat them like another brother in Christ. I mean who can condemn other than God?

Well, giving to the poor is what all Christians are instructed to do anyways. I'm just saying the example to follow should be Christ and no other!

Christmas itself is an idol and has absolutely nothing to do with the birth of Messiah Yeshua, it is a totally pagan holiday and there is no Biblical basis whatsoever for it or the traditions fostered by false religion on that day.

Edit: From your comments I see that, although you have come to some truth about the origins of the trees and some of the other trappings of the "Christian" holiday, you are only seeing the tip of the iceberg.

Christmas was adapted by the Roman Catholic Church from the winter solstice festival of Satrunalia, easily proven if you wish, look it up online. Then answer the following questions:

1.) When does the Bible say Christ was born?
2.) When did the 3 wise men come to see Yeshua?
3.) Exactly how many wise men does the Bible say there were?
4.) How is it that shepards were out in the fields with their flocks in the dead of winter?
5.) Who is Mithra?
6.) Did the Puritans celebrate xmas? Why or why not?
7.) Is there any record in the Bible of any birthday celebration for Yeshua?

You really need to study to learn the real truth about Christmas:

The ebook of Luke Chapter two (within the New Testament of the Bible) will let you know approximately the Christmas tale. The ebook of John Chapter three will provide an explanation for to you the message of salvation-- how you'll have everlasting existence, now not via well works, however via accepting Jesus as your private savior. Remember, Jesus is God's son (now not solar). There used to be an episode from Star Trek (Sixties) in which Cpt Kirk used to be confused by means of the Roman like planet in which ppl worshipped the "solar"; Lt. Uhuru corrected him and mentioned that they had been worshipping the son of God and now not the solar.

Evergreen trees and mistletoe have a great deal to do with the Christmas celebration .They were thought of as having special favor of the gods because they remaind green while everything else lost its leave . The Return of Light celebration called for gift giving , decoration homes with evergreen boughs and lights. It was a time of feasting , singing, dancing, visiting. It was the most important holiday of the year.
Too bad the Christian church stole the holiday and injected a fake birth into it . It was a far better holiday without any mangers , wise guys , or magic stars .

The true meaning of Christmas is to celebrate Jesus's birth. But we should celebrate year round, not just a couple of days a year. Also, Santa is another name for St. Nicolas, who was an actual person that lived back in the early 1700's. He had a kind heart (like Christ) and wanted to give things to poor people.

It is a fact that there is no mention in the Bible of God wanting us to celebrate the birth of Christ. We are to celebrate His death and His death alone.

THE REAL REASON FOR CHRISTMAS... Greed, materialism and gluttony.

If someone here disagrees, fine, don't accept any gifts. Just give unto others. And your argument will stand.

The reason for Christmas is to remember the day that love was born into the world. Love is the reason for the season.

No...Christianity took traditional things like the Yule log, and hanging fruit from trees from the Pagan religions and twisted them to their own ends in order for the stories to be more relatable to the Pagans they were attempting to convert. That's why Christians have X-mas trees.

I celebrate the birthday of Mithra, Horus, or Krishna.

Those were all deities born of a virgin on December 25. Those were all deities that had 12 disciples.

Those were all deities who rose form the dead.

Those were all deities that predated Jesus, who was just another imaginary sun god.

Many Christmas symbols are pagan, including Christmas trees, yule logs, mistletoe, wreaths, etc.

They are not Christian per se, but they are religious.
