I don't think you should trust anyone ...based on them clamming to be of any religion...or mixture of them.....the claim is just words....trust comes from knowing the person.....
if a man says let me rent your child...you can trust me I'm a good christian.... would you trust based on his words ?
the above question is not the actions of any christian I know ...but it was said to me once.... do I judge all Christians by this one person NO ....
but it is a good example of using words and needing to know there definition of the words they use....
Christians and Jews both have very similar teachings as well as those that are different..... as in any religion we fallow what we are comfortable with ...what fits us....if one fallows the teachings that are the same ...than you might be both...

Many, if not most of the first believers of the first century church were Jews. A Christian is a follower of Christ. A Jew who follows Christ is completed, in that he has accepted that Jesus is the promised Messiah.
He (or she) could be referred to as a Messianic Jew, a Christian Jew or "completed" Jew. So, yes, one can be a Jew and a Christian at the same time.
Jesus was a Jew. He is the Christ (Greek word for Messiah). Only those who follow Him are Christians, or "little Christ's", as they were dubbed in Antioch.

Jesus was not a Christian. The Bible was not yet written and he did not follow himself around.
Being Jewish is BOTH a religion and an ethnicity.
As has already been pointed out there are several denominations of Jews that believe Jesus was the Christ, but did NOT free the Jews from their (Kosher) laws.

No, because if you're Jewish, being a good Xian means you're being a bad Jew, because you're committing idolatry.
If you're Xian, being a good Jew means being a bad Xian, because it means ignoring many things JC said.
You can't be both, have to pick one. These two religions simply cannot be one, they are like oil and water.

No.
Judaism and Christianity are mutually exclusive. Messianic "Jews" are nothing more than Christians attempting to deceive Jews into believing false doctrines, by retroactively reinterpreting clear-cut prophecies, which prove Jesus to have been a fraud.
------------
Jesus was not a Christian. He was a Jew... and a heretical one at that, so hardly 'good'.

With all respect for the ethnically-Jewish but practicing-Catholic uncle above,
anyone who claims to be practicing both doesn't understand Judaism.

I don't think I could trust anyone who says they are a good anything (that has to do with a religious group).

No. Christianity and Judaism are mutually exclusive on many levels, although some practices (like don't murder) are common to both. However, anyone who says that they are both Christian and Jewish--like "Messianic Jews" are merely confused at best, liars at worst.
