That does make Pastafarianism closer to being a mainstream religion. However, what you really need is a long, gruesome, spaghetti-sauce-soaked history of murdering people who were guilty of heresy or being anti-Pastafarians. Also, having a group of jackasses with pompadour haircuts and southern-fried accents on television ripping off gullible old ladies also will make Pastafarianism more of a legitimate religion.
