Try another phone in the outlet. If it's still noisy have the phone company test the line. Water may have got into an outside junction box or line.

Hey, that happened to me too. I think it was ethier the reception in the building was not very strong (I suggest you call oustide, way more bars!) or some water go on it, which I highly doubt. Also, it could be the other caller's phone you were talking with, so don't worry, it might not even be yours!
Also, the line that your're using might be really busy or down for awhile. I suggest you try calling other friends and seeing if
(Haha, don't waste your money if you don't have a plan for a cellphone)the same problem occurs. You never know, it may be just the connection with certain friends or just a wiring misconduct. Anyways, good luck!

it could be the phone or it could be a break in one of your phone lines through the house.
