Jesus said that if you believe in him, you will be saved. The Muslims believe in Jesus. In fact they believe In 5 "prophets, Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus and Allah. So are Muslims are "saved".

I screwed up. It should be Mohammed, not Allah. I'm surprised more of you didn't catch that.

So, there is more to believing in Jesus than “believing”. Why did he say that is John 17:3 that “those believing would be saved. That would include the Devil. Can’t the Devil be forgiven?

I lve all these "faith in your heart" answers. You cannot prove you have faith and I can't prove you don't.There is no proof that the Bible is true. By its very cryptic nature, it virtually guarantees that it will be interpreted differently by as many people who read it. The weak minded and easily led, let the “Authority Figure”, (Jehovah’s Witnesses, Baptist, pick one) interpret it for them.

The Bible trips over itself in countless ways. I was raised a Jehovah’s Witness and I have read it many times. I am 56 and left the JW’s at 50. Waited way too long. If you look at all the answers from “Christians”, many conflict. The Witness answer is that you have to have faith and works to go along with that faith. Some sects believe once saved always saved. Hey Christians, why can’t the Devil be forgiven?

The beauty about having such a self contradictory tome as the Bible to base your religion on means you can find a passage to back up almost anything you want.
Can it then be contradicted by another passage? Of course, but by then the argument is typically over and the point made. And, really, who wants to search through THAT book...
It's like reading the want ads. And makes about as much sense.

I am not a Christian nor a Muslim, but I wish to give my opinion. Hope you won't mind.
I think you've got one of the prophets wrong, Allah is their Creator, not prophet. They do mention about Jesus in their holy book, that on Jesus' last day (before he died), he had told his disciples that Muhammad will be the next prophet, but his disciples lied to the Arabs and do not recognize Muhammad's status as prophet.
But then again, Jesus died on the cross as the whole world knows, so how could he have told his disciples about the coming of the next prophet, while being crucified and crying out to heavens right to his death?
I got this piece of information from a Muslim friend. So, basically after listening to him, I told myself this - "What" is he believing?...And why did God suddenly changed the "whole religion" from the times of Moses when Jesus passed away?...a whole lot different religion at that...why can't Muhammad just continue the good works of Jesus?...the prophets have all come from the line of David (a Jew), just why all of a sudden an Arab was chosen?...even though the Jewish have said Jesus is not directly a descendant of David, he is still a Jew. Why an Arab?...I have nothing against Arabs, but what about God's "covenant" with Noah, David and Mankind?...God made a promise, I don't think He would break it.
So, basically my friend...I think you'd better leave all those theories in its original format and don't mix them up some more...Jesus is for Christians, Muhammad is for Islam - and this is already very confusing.
Saved or not saved, I personally think that it is solely depended on oneself...I don't think religion can save you, you don't believe Jesus, you go to Hell, and if you don't believe Muhammad, you go to Hell...which do you choose?...is it the right choice?...what if you made the wrong choice?...you will go to Hell as well !!! :(
I know there is a God...but I don't think any of the world's religion are doing that well representing His teachings and services nowadays.

no Christians believe that you must ask jesus to come into your life
Muslims believe in 5 things that make u completely and truly saved as a true muslim....i dont know all 5 but the first thing is that you must proclaim allah is the one and only god. Then the other things are like giving to the charities regularly and working hard and being a good person. I do know that killing doesnt fall under the "bad" category, because jihad or "holy war" sometimes is necessary

There is "belief" as in agreeing with your mind that something did or didn't happen, someone does or doesn't exist, etc. That is one shade of belief or believing. But saving faith, THAT form of belief, is much deeper. In other words, I can believe with my head that Jesus existed (which He did, and there are at least three references to Him in secular history), yet that won't get me into Heaven. I would have to believe with my heart that I can't earn salvation, that only through Jesus could this be possible (Titus 3:5, Romans 10:9-10, etc.) We believe that Jesus is the only sinless one, the One Who gave His life for us (Romans 5:8-12). So there is no riddle at all!

The Jesus the Muslims believe in is not the Jesus of the Bible. They cannot fathom that God would allow Jesus to be crucified, so they claim that the Bible is in error, and that it was Judas who was crucified.
Further, the Muslims deny that Jesus was begotten of the Father. The Qur'an states clearly: "Proclaim: Allah is One. Allah is Eternal. He neither begets nor was begotten." (Surah 112:1-4)
The Bible on the other hand, states: "And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth." (John 1:14)
Clearly, the two are polar opposites. Therefore, the Muslims aren't saved, because they don't believe in the biblical Jesus, and trust in their own works, as opposed to saving faith in Christ's work on our behalf.

"And this is the way to have eternal life - to know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, the one you sent to earth" (John 17:3). Most people believe in God, even Satan does. But to receive salvation, we must turn to God, form a personal relationship, turn away from our sins, and follow Him. We must trust in Jesus with everything we have and everything we do. "We are made right in God's sight when we trust in Jesus Christ to take away our sins. And we all can be saved in this way, no matter who we are or what we have done" (Romans 3:22). The Bible teaches that there is no other way to salvation than through Christ. Jesus says in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me."

You have your facts mixed up, dearie. I'm pretty sure that Allah is supposed to be a GOD, not prophet. Muslims believe that there were many prophets and Muhammed (P.B.U.H.) was the last. He wrote down the Qu'ran which is considered a prophet in its own right as it speaks the word of god.
You are correct in that Muslims and Christians have the same roots and in fact share some of the old testament. At least you got something right, darling.

No, they believe Jesus was a prophet, but not the Messiah. Jesus was killed and resurrected to be a sacrifice for our sins. This sacrifice is what allows us to be in the presence of God when we die. Muslims believe that Jesus was a good man, but was not resurrected. They believe Judas was put in the place of Jesus on the cross. Muslims believe that good deeds will get you to heaven while Christians believe it is by the grace of God through His Son, the Messiah, Jesus Christ.

Its the belief in the purpose of Jesus's Life how He was created, life and death...the differences are God impregnated a Virgin and that made Jesus to be man/God and He lived pure without sin then died for sins and then resurrected and left us the Holy Spirit as a comforter......and He is sitting at the Right Hand of God praying for us all.

Riddle me this, Mark 5:7
"What do you want with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? Swear to God that you won't torture me!" 8For Jesus had said to him, "Come out of this man, you evil spirit!"
Apparently devils believe in Christ also, but are not saved. I think you should really find out the solution to this question yourself. What is it that you must believe about Jesus and what is it that you must accept?
