Sin can damage a life, leading one to make terrible choices.
The worst consequence, it dying an early death (few plan to die unsaved), and going to hell.
I've seen people ruin their lives. I've seen woman have affairs (losing her home, house and children, and ending up pregnant, and the guy long gone). I've seen even older adults, we're talking grandparents, who have had an affair, ruining the trust their wife had in them, and ended up moving out of state, away from the family, and also breaking up the other family.
I've seen people loose their jobs over bad choice, get hooked on drugs (it all starts out as an occasional thing), hooked on alcohol so bad that they threaten to kill their wives.
I've seen people catch STD's, pass them onto their wives, causing premature labor. I've seen people loose everything they have, all their money. I've seen people wreck cars even steal cars. Hurt the ones they've love.
I've seen people kill others in auto accidents.
I could go on forever. These are all stories of people I know, that have thankfully straightened out their lives with the help of God. The devil loves to see the destruction that sin will cause.

the theory says that God created the garden, and gave man unlimited hand in the garden other than eating the forbidden tree. The theory does not discuss God eating from the same tree...Now, i would like to give you the priviledge to see through Gods eye, if you had the power to create the world, comprehensively with the future and the past, wouldnt you be in a position to know exactly what would happen within the tick of the next second...God definately knew what options man would take and the consequencies of the same which he however gave man the options of bitting into the fruit or eating out of all the fruits and having eterninty. He did not force man to eat it, just as he does not force you to sin. And, even after eating from the tree, man did not become like God did he, i would say that everything that became known to him, was the subsequent damage to the flesh. Could be this knowledge, can be effectively sustained only in another form....God already knew the future, but it was up to man to change it with positivity...for it is only positivity that can surfice any looming perils....Man ate the fruit, and as a result, it is man who sins....God is infinitely holy, infinitely good and immeasurably generous...and so is his wrath, wisdom and love

Guilt causes our subconscious mind to punish us. We attribute it to god when in fact it is ourselves playing judge and jury. Guilt is a powerful thing in the hands of a believer. You will destroy yourself. We all make mistakes and we need to be quick to forgive ourselves. We are human and if we are smart we learn from our mistakes. I have made plenty of these hard learned, but never to be forgotten, lessons. This is a personal level I am speaking of.

How about "not paying attention?" like when i was roofing...swinging a hammer..i turned my head mid swing to see something else..and "WHAM!" split my thumb right in two! (thank God for "duct tape!") So, when we don't pay attention to what he is trying to communicate to us..as a whole, or personally..believe it, the suffering will be just as real... you can see this even now, by all the people who ask unlearned questions? they don't pay attention! "Peace!"

There aren't any. I can tell a lie and nothing happens. I can have sex before marriage and nothing happens. I can eat pork and nothing happens. I can condone homosexuals and nothing happens. I can blaspheme and nothing happens. I can challenge your god every day and STILL nothing happens.
Mayhaps you should pay attention that nothing happens.
Edit: I love the two "geniuses" above me who don't even vaguely understand what a virus is nor understand that sex does not equate to an abortion and the religious are the ones most responsible for wars.

Wages of law imputed sin is death.
Doing such is pretty consequential.
Can we move on, to grace of law/grace.
