God's sabbath began on that seventh day of creation, and Hebrews 3 and 4 state that God is still in that rest, and we can enter into his rest while it is still called "To day" through faith.
Israel had the weekly sabbath that was only commanded of them to keep. God's sabbatismos was what they could not enter into because of their faithlessness.
Sunday is just another deception.
But if you want to keep the shadow sabbath, thereby rejecting God's rest, knock yourself out.

The Sabbath was given to Israel, not the church. The Sabbath is still Saturday, not Sunday, and has never been changed. But the Sabbath is part of the Old Testament Law, and Christians are free from the bondage of the Law (Galatians 4:1-26; Romans 6:14). Sabbath keeping is not required of the Christian—be it Saturday or Sunday. The first day of the week, Sunday, the Lord's Day (Revelation 1:10) celebrates the New Creation, with Christ as our resurrected Head. We are not obligated to follow the Mosaic Sabbath—resting, but are now free to follow the risen Christ—serving. The Apostle Paul said that each individual Christian should decide whether to observe a Sabbath rest, “One man considers one day more sacred than another; another man considers every day alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind” (Romans 14:5). We are to worship God every day, not just on Saturday or Sunday.

Actually, we go around saying "Thank God It's Friday!" I would think that God would be satisfied with any day of week that was set aside for spiritual growth and contemplation of the Hereafter. It seems to me that, if you want to call that Seventh Day when the Bible claims the universe was created as Saturday, this would be fine with him. On the other hand, if you prefer Sunday, this should be okay, too.
Somehow I can't see God quibbling over these details. The truth is, the calendar has changed since mankind came into existence, and who knows what day is which? If they had asked me, I would have selected Monday. It would shorten the workweek and given us all time to recuperate from a busy weekend.

You non-believers should know by now that we don't care what day it is. In fact we should all worship everyday.
Non-believers criticize us because we base our beliefs upon faith, but yet they act surprised that we (in faith) choose Sunday to worship. The fact is that our faith has no care of what day it is.
We don't care what the history of the calendar is or what the sabbath really is. The fact is that God is real and is alive everyday. When we spend time picking apart the bible and not receiving the message, we miss out on the true meaning of being a christian.
I'm a believer, a worshiper of Christ, and a man of faith everyday.

It all depends upon which day of the week you start with. Why quibble about days? If you work for six and rest on the seventh, it could be on Monday. It makes no difference to God so why should it make a difference to you. Yes, Christians do know that the original sabbath was Saturday, but now it is Sunday. You sound like a Pharisee, insisting upon every jot and tittle of the law when in reality your heart is far from Him (the Lawmaker).

So many answers from people who wont read the bible. Saturday is still the Sabbath. Sunday is the day that Christians gather together because Jesus rose on the first day of the week.

BUT, from the very beginning the church "celebrated" Sunday. The law, ALL OF IT, was set aside at Jesus' death and the apostles, under the Spirit's guidance, built something new on the foundation Jesus established.
Many FALSELY claim that the Christians' Sunday assembly was a change instituted by Constantine and the Roman church... This CANNOT be true since early Christian writers were discussing it a century and a half before Constantine instituted a supposed change. Constantine did not CHANGE this point, but his edict forced everyone else to comply with what was ALREADY being practiced by Christians.
SUNDAY IS NOT, as you call it, "ROME'S SABBATH!" The Sunday assembly of the church has nothing to do with Sabbath, but was instituted by the apostles, apparently in commemoration of Jesus' resurrection.

I am a Christian and I do not believe that Sunday is the Sabbath Saturday is the Sabbath. We Christian's meet on Sunday to thank Jesus for his sacrifice just like the first Christian's (the Apostles did) Sunday is called the Lords day not the Sabbath.
