please provide the year, i will look up the exact odometer accuracy and let you know if they are compatible.

just to give you two common years, 91 and 95

91 & 95 300zx non turbo
Stock = 225/50VR16
You speedometer will be off by ~2miles/60 (when the speed say 60, you actualy going 60 +2mph)

91 & 95 300zx Turbo
youll be off by 4mph every 60mph (so @ 120mph you actually be going ~128mph)

not bad on the non turbo, but the turbo look for a smaller diameter tire. use this site for the calculations: http://www.performanceprobe.com/index2.php?redirect=http://www.performanceprobe.com/misc/index.php?do=calc&page=tire

hope that helps,

To the left of the steering wheel see a VDC button? different size tires will freak out the ABS brakes and Vehicle dynamic control cause a ABS and slip light to turn on. Base model 350Z will not be affected because it does not have VDC but the ABS might energize different. Stick to the exact size the Engineers designed into this car. Sports Cars wear tires sports cars wear tires keep repeating. 225 front and 245 rear sizes posted on drivers door jamb keep it just like it came there are cheeper tires. Just remember spining out of control those darn cheep KUHMO or Sumitomo tires! There are only 4 contact patches that make all the control the car has. I buy the very best Bridgstone RE-010R tires. Stock 350Z comes with RE-040 tires two model of tire less sticky.

n300zxtwin, he said a 350Z, not a 300ZX.

It will work, but you'll lose a little performance going down to 17's. I'd stick with 18's or at least 19's, but nothing else.

It should be fine for normal driving, you may feel a bit more oversteer due to less traction at the rear. Your speedometer and odometer will be a few percent low.
