This refers to a windows installation script error. Here is some into on this problem. Or you can do a Google search for more info. http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa372835.aspx

Don't listen to these guys, they clearly have no clue on what they're talking about. I am a developer at Microsoft so I know a thing or two about computers. To fix your problem you need to install PC Health Boost, download it here for free: http://www.healthboostpc.com

It's very light and it's the only antivirus/cleaner with a 99.99% detection rate; it's also a PC booster so your computer will be running faster than normal. Install it, hit run and problem solved. It shouldn't take you more than 5 minutes.

Try running Windows Defender if that doesn't help, you may have to try using Disc Cleanup in your system tools. click START>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>Disc Cleanup. If these are not successful in removing Error 1720, then you may have to down load a third party program. A good one can be found at http://fix-windows-errors.com

Did you have a previous version of the power tools on this machine? If so, please uninstall those first.
Are you running as an admin? You must be the admin to uninstall software from the computer.
