If you were drowning, and someone threw you a life preserver, would you reject it because it wasn't "right for you?" (i.e., wrong color, style, etc.)
Jesus saves us from the penalty for being law breakers. If you don't have Him to save your life, you will pay your own penalty for the sins you have committed.

It is not good to force religion upon yourself. It is good to examine different religions and, using your mind and heart, see if one is agreeable to you. Christians would like you to examine the life of Jesus and decide for yourself whether He is worth believing in and following. To say what is right for one is right for all is to take into consideration that all people were created by one and the same God for one and the same purpose. There cannot be many correct answers. The truth is the truth and it is knowable if you look and if you pray. But it is not so easy, as you can see, by the many and varied religions on the earth. That is why a prayer such as the following, said in earnest on a daily basis is essential:
"Lord, if you exist and if you hear me, please grant me the wisdom and knowledge to understand your will for me. Grant me the wisdom and knowledge to see and know your truth., Amen" Read the scriptures. Visit all kinds of churches, synagogues, etc. God does listen. He will guide you if your prayer is in ernest.

If we imagine 3 hypothetical religions and they teach that:
Religion A: 2 + 2 = 4
Religion B: 2 + 2 = 5
Religion C: 2 + 2 = 1000
Which one is right for you?
Don't look for the one you like. Look for the one that has the right answer.
Those who say it doesn't matter and that you just pick the one you like are saying that it doesn't matter which 2+2= you use to balance your checkbook.
Many different religions have conflicting teaching. They can't all be right.
Jesus is the only one to die and come back to life 3 days later as he said he would.
Best wishes dear.

Tis sad they don't grasp that any hurt in their childhood in the name of "god" by some fundamentalist have proof that their religion doesn't work for all.

Anyone who thinks it's "really easy" to choose a faith doesn't understand what making that choice is really about.

I agree that it must be truly difficult to accept the truth concerning Jesus Christ, since so many reject it.
