That is true but it is also a crutch for nonbelievers never to have faith.

Doubt certainly is an element of faith as faith is minus logic so at times our logical mind presents its doubts but we are told not to entertain such thoughts as it will amount to blasphemy. I think literalists know this very well so they have invented this term blasphemy so they can control people in their faith. If they start using their logic faith will give way to it and these organized religions will loose ground.

It depends on what you have faith in, if it's God, and you doubt him, how is that still faith in Him?
