You know, some people on this site that poke fun at Christians are actually quite funny - and can be taken in good humor. If you're going to try to bash the religion, please don't be so lame with your humor.

Because if Jesus would not have rose from the dead, that would not have proven anything, except that He was a great teacher like people say. He had to rise from the dead to prove that He was divine. He is alive right now seated in heaven at the right hand of His Father, God.

He defeated death. So he came back to life and lived on they earth for 40 days before he ascended into heaven.
If you really want to know just read the Bible and stop asking questions like this.
Saying stuff like " popping out apple pies" as you asked in a earlier question doesn't make you sound intelligent.

Hmm- I think you forgot to read the whole story. Jesus died to be the ultimate sacrifice (before him, every time a person sinned they had to sacrifice an animal to seek forgiveness)- he took on our sins and faced the separation from God for us. Then on the third day he rose from the dead. He spent some time on earth ministering to people and then ascended to the heavens.

But really, if he "died to pay for your sins" then why is he not dead and gone?
Apparently he experienced something other than death if he "came back".
I'm just trying to make sense of this.

First of all, Jesus ''Peace be upon him" is not a GOD neither son of god, he is just a messenger same like NOUH, DAVID MHD and others.
I believe that Jesus still a live, he will be back one day
GOD is only one , has no son, no similar.
I am't saying that based on my thoughts but based on QURAN.

God has the key to live or death. and He made His Son to be risen,
