Just get yourself to your gp,see what he has to say about it. Dont leave it too long. The sooner you catch what it is, the better the treatment for it. Take care dear.

It could be gall stones blocking the tubes and causing inflammation. You can soon find out by eating food with a fair bit of fat content (a chunk of cheese, e.g.). If it's gall stones, within 20 minutes you will get increasing pain as the gall bladder tries to send bile into your stomach to deal with the fat, but fails (due to the stones in the tubes - on the right side, by the stomach). If you make a serious effort to drastically eliminate fat from your diet and that pain does not recurr, that also signals the possibility of gall stones. Do those tests and then report back to your doctor.

It could be a hernia.
It could be appendicitis if:
1) you have a fever
2) if you press on it and let go, the pain is worse
It could also be a condition called diverticulitis - which is a bit like a hernia of the colon, although it's more common on the left side.
If you are female, it could be an ovarian cyst.
If it's getting worse, you really should see a doctor, because abdominal pain can have lots of causes and can be pretty tricky to diagnose properly.
