Each child is different. They all learn and get used to the potty in their own time and way. You could let her watch you go to the potty and explain to her what happens. Also, let her go around the house naked or just in panties.. Does she like Dora or My little pony or anything? If so, try some character panties and tell her not to potty on "Dora." Let her go in and out of wherever her potty is and examine it and warm up to it and play with it on her own. My daughter used her potty as a toy hideaway for a couple of days. Try using rewards such as a sticker sheet or a few M & M's when she does attempt to potty or actually uses it. Get her some age appropriate books that help explain it in simple terms and pictures. If you dont have the money to buy them, check out your local library they have these type of books in the childrens section. Use an older cousin or sibling or playmate she admires as an example to follow. But really the bottom line is dont force it on her or she will never follow through.. Give her time and be patient, do not compare her to others her age! I know it can be frustrating but she will come around in her own time :) Good luck!

Whatever you do, DO NOT punish her for not wanting to use the potty!!! :( You want to make going to the potty a good experience...if you make it a bad experience, she's not going to want to go. She might just not be ready to use the potty yet and forcing her to use it probably won't help. Make going to the potty fun by reading a book while she sits on it and giving her stickers for sitting for a while. Make sure you show her how proud you are of her for trying! And if it still doesn't work out, don't worry, she still has some time, she's not too old to be in diapers. Good luck!

When a friend of mine recommended a potty training step stool, I was skeptical it would make a difference. I could not believe my kids reaction to The Potty Stool http://www.thepottystool.com I started by just setting it at the toilet. This stool makes every toilet kid-sized. My kids immediately climbed up on this stool and discovered that they could safely and securely use the toilet. This got them very interested in using the toilet and they were potty trained very quickly. My kids like to use what they know mommy and daddy use. And it really is wonderful having your kids independently use the toilet on their own. The handles make all the difference --both felt comfortable and were relaxed enough to have easy bowel movements.

I like that I don't have to double the steps of potty training by training them first in a potty and then training them to stop using a potty. And not dumping and cleaning a potty each time is great. The best thing is that kids use it for years. I hope this helps you

Easy way: Put her in a part time day school where she can see her peers using the potty. All younger kids want to be doing what the older kids are doing. She'll come around rather quickly.

If you can't do that, take her to the bathroom with you whenever you need to go and don't pressure her. Eventually she will get tired of wet and poopy diapers but it will take a lot of patience on your part. Add a reward for going potty, if rewards work on your child.

as far as the mean punish her a swat to the tush never hurt any child. or a timeout in the corner. you need to punish her,

the potty never ask her just take her as soon as she wakes up. put her on the potty and make her sit there. for at least 5 minutes. then put panties on her

take her potty once an hour every hour all day and again as soon as she is up from her nap use a diaper or pull up for nap bedtimes and when out of the house. no need for a wet carseat or wet pants in public kids this age dont deserve to be embarrassed
get consistent that is the key. do the same thing every day
i have also found that keeping a journal of every time she sat on the potty and every time i changed my soni worte it down

i wrote down every time he peed and pooped and whether he was wet or dry after nap and bed time

It is time to start time out. 1 minute for each year of age. Every time she goes against the rules, take her to time out. She will throw a fit and leave continually, but take her by the hand and take her back. If she falls limp, carry her back. You must be quiet while you are doing this. After a while, she will get it.
Potty trainers need big girl panties. Use only one of the potties.

my suggestion is that allow her to use the potty as soon as she gets up from sleep.even if it is for a second .as the days pass by she gets habituated of using the potty on regularly.this was how i trained my son who is 5and totally trained.

Even though I tried EVERYTHING, my daughter waited until she was 3 - finally took the hint from her other friends in preschool. At least you can relax knowing that your daughter will not be wearing diapers to kindergarten (lol).

Have her wear underwear so that when she pees she will feel uncomfortable and itchy and be forced to use the potty.

I think she is not really ready though. Try ina few months
