i suppose taking a subject out of context does cause more harm, many do that and that causes misconceptions, we must go into depth of things, but a lie can be equally damaging

I'm not innocent during a flat-out-lie. And should be held accountable.
I can be innocent taking a subject out of context especially if I just parrot someone else. If I am confused and take a subject out of context - it will be obvious to the listener, and hopefully they will politlely correct me.

i think vanilla is right, but if it cannot harm the other person ,then taking subject out of context may be used to avoid some conflicts.bcz sometims telling truth can be more disasterous in some situations. But if a person's lie can harm anyone then its bad either way.

No. You can use a statement out of context that paints a wrong picture of someone.

False is false in my mind, however, my opinion of the mindset of many hypocritical christians is that perhaps they truly believe the distorted version that they are creating to prove their point?
Facts are facts and a story is just a story!
