4'9" is the magical number isnt it?
I think thats a bit much, there are grown adults who are shorter than that and dont need a booster seat. I think 12 is the cut off age anyway.
I do think theyre babying her, its not good to treat her younger than her age. It keeps her from developing correctly.

you need to have a good talk with her parents. She's 12 and her bedtime is 8:30?! UH UH I DONT THINK SO! im still doing HOMEWORK and stuff at 8:30. and for teh booster seat, YOU STOP SITTING IN A BOOSTER SEAT WHEN YOU'RE 7. her parents are 5 YEARS behind time! She could get hurt sitting in a booster seat becuase if u sit in a booster seat too small for you and they're an accident, you're more likely to get injured in the booster seat then actually in the backseat with your rear ON the seat! i didnt stop sitting in a booster seat until 4th grade because i was so skinny. but then my parents said i was old enough to sit with one. my brother is 8 and he doesnt sit in a booster seat anymore! theres no law about height! the law is that you must be 60 pounds OR 7 years old to stop sitting in a boosterseat! and she's 12 YEARS OLD! shes almost old enough to sit in the FRONT SEAT! WHO ARE THESE PARENTS?! THEYRE WORSE THAN MINES!

well, it depends where she lives, but I stopped going in a bosster seat when I was 6, I'm 11 now, 79 lb, and 4'10. I live in Pennsylvania. I think she should look up the laws in her area, and if it shows that she doesn't have to sit in a booster, show it to her parents. as for her bedtime, mine is 9.15, but I go to bed at the same time as a 13 yo, so 8.30 isn't bad, but a little early. her parents do slightly baby her, but I think if she comes up with a few good reasons to stay up a bit later, or get out of a booster seat, then try to convince her parents.

You have to be 4ft 9in,though.She could pass for that. And she is 12.That's the age where you can even sit in the front seat.As far as her bedtime that should be at least 9:30 or 9:45.I really do feel sorry for her and I don't care that I'm getting 2 points for this.Maybe you could let her sleep over at your house for a few days. Her parents probably just want the best for her and don't realize that they are being overprotective.I was treated like this but I learned that my parents just really loved me.And I love them dearly.

Each state has rules on height and weight for booster seats. Kids that age need to sleep 10 hours per night.

sh is way to young for a booster seat, i was out of one when i was like 5. and i am 13[only one year older then her] and i go to bed between 10 and 11. Her parents must really be paranoid.

She has to be in a bosster seat till' she's over 4 9"...yit's 5 1" in the UK... you can get ones which are just like padded seats though...they aren't even noticeable....better be in a booster than dead or disfigured.
