i know that "je suis malad" means i am sick. but how wouls you say "i have a cold"??

Je suis enrhumé. If you're a girl speaking, then - Je suis enrhumée.

"J'ai un rhume" or "je suis enrhumé (e)"

or "J'ai attrapé froid"
