God and religion are separate. How God came into being (the leading role in a man made fairy tale or as creator) doesn't really matter. Can we throw out religion (a systematic response to God) and just have fun playing around with the idea of God?

I don't really do much of this, but my brother, who is the one more into physics, absolutely loves cosmology and would most certainly agree with you, sir. best of luck.

I would also like to point out to those who read my humble comment that there many religious atheists - e.g. I am Buddhist.

Absolutely. Christianity should not be a religion, which is by definition a ritual, but should instead be a relationship. Just as my relationship with my husband is fluid and changes depending on each of our needs at the moment (sometimes we need quiet time together, sometimes we need laughter and fun, sometimes we need to do something independent of each other, sometimes we need a sandwich, whatever), so should our relationship with God be able to move with our needs. After all, the Bible says that God is able to do exceeding abundantly above all we ask or think, so why should we allow a religion to dictate what we ask or think? What's wrong with wanting and expecting more than that from the God who created the heavens and the earth? Absolutely nothing!

Best question about God! If you intend to explore the cosmic regarding God or religions about God, please be wary of the different spirits that can possess a person regardless of what religion.

This is especially true if you do not have the resources to ward off oppressive fear, thoughts etc. possessions, this is a serious advice otherwise the best option is for a real 'church deliverence' which sometimes can be staged ones for bluff/physco people to believe. But the most important thing is to be careful.

without faith, a god is only a being with means previous that of humanity. Humanity would or gained't be attentive to this being's existence. contained in the actual international, Deism is perchance the nearest you receives to god without faith, on condition that few deists surely worship the deistic god. and not using a god, faith is a series of rituals and customs. styles of Buddhism look to administration nicely sufficient and not using a god.

God and religion are separate. God didn't come into being, He has always been and always will be.
You have your religion, so why should you belittle others about their beliefs, or mock those beliefs?
Forget religions! "God is a spirit and those who worship Him must worship Him in spirit and truth". John 4:24

Yes, one can whatever he wishes.
Religion is a product of man to make money and manipulate. Imagine the peace in the world if we'd all throw religion out the window and start treating each other like humans despite race, gender, orientation, etc.

Modern science will soon prove that the religious interpretation of certain scripture by mankind found in The Bible, Torah and The Dead Sea Scrolls are wrong and that a new scientific interpretation of the same scripture will have to now be accepted by mankind as the correct interpretation of this scripture for all generations yet to come. This will change parts of The Bible , Torah and The Dead Sea Scrolls from religious books and scrolls into science books and scrolls, since all three contain the same scripture I'm referring to. This will over time lead to proving the God Yahweh exists and wrote this scientific scripture since no human had the scientific knowledge to write it then or now. This will lead to eliminating all religions as we know them today and force mankind into a one world, same God,( Yahweh), belief system. It will take some time but the change will soon start to happen in our life time.

As for God:
God is "excepted"(exempt) from the shew,
as is noted for us, in 1Corinthians 15:27.
So then J-->C plays both parts of "God":
manifest in the flesh -->justified in the Spirit,
(manifest in the law -->justified in the Grace)
as allegorically noted for us in 1Timothy 3:16.

Which things are an allegory: Gal 4.

As for Religion: Law vs Grace comparison applies:
- Impure religion arrived defiled, then got worse end
- Pure religion arrived undefiled, remained unspotted

So when we have contrary things, it's for comparison,
since mixture of contrary things makes an oxy-moron.

The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

I believe in God, but don't really identify with any particular religion. My idea of God is very different from most modern-day religions, and I can't seem to try to make myself fit into someone else's pre-made form anymore.
I love the line in "My God" by Jethro Tull - "Made Him bend to Your religion". Every religion I know of has made God fit what they need, rather than trying to seek out the true nature of God.

Christianity is God reaching out to man.

Religion is man trying to reach God.

Christianity and Religion are opposed to each other.

Christ opposed all the religious leaders

Religion is the Devil's ace trump. Religion is a "piece of truth"--a piece of truth which is cleverly twisted to closely resemble Christianity.

Religion appeals to man's pride. It appeals to the idea that you can save yourself; you can may yourself appealing to God. Religion is designed to appease God. Do something for God so you are worthy enough to be saved!!!

What does your religion tell you to do to be worthy to be saved?

Christianity is the antithesis. Christianity is the realization that "I can't earn salvation; I can't keep salvation; I can't make myself worthy to be saved." "I'm hopelessly lost"

Christianity is 100% about Christ being salvation for all who believe in Him.
