Just because 'god' wouldn't be a physical object that can be observed and studied makes no difference. Gravity is not a physical object that can be observed and studied, but its effects can.

However far outside the realms of science any god could be, if such god had any effect on the universe, however small, such effects could be observed and studied. No such effects exist that haven't already been explained as purely natural.

In summary, any possible god or gods are either unaware that we even exist as a by product of said gods own creation, or, said gods haven't the slightest interest in human affairs and therefore are redundant in human life and society.

Do you realise that even if it were proved that there was a sentient creator, that it would have no baring on the fact that we are mortal animals, and there is still no afterlife. Think about it.

Why do theists fail to understand that there is no such thing as a supernatural being that can't be observed and studied? Everything in the universe is made of of matter or energy. Something that as you claim can't be understood by human reason can only exist in human thought, hence God didn't create man... man created God.

There are many people who fail to realize that God cannot be put in a box and defined by documents such as the Bible or the Quran as well. It is subjectivity and the need for group approval and like-mindedness that keeps Man from searching for God beyond a large number of pigeonholes. At least atheists have left behind most of the dogma associated with religious (emotional) understanding of God. We have again the failure of definition to encompass everyone's conception of what God is. Since experience of God is subjective, this problem will always remain.

Because they are atheist doesn't mean that, that is their belief, or that that is why they are Atheist. I say what does it matter why they do or don't believe what they do. To each is own.

The bad side of religion as a whole, it is another means of segregation and prejudice, another way for people to find things in people that they don't understand or that scare or confuse them, another reason for hate and thoughtless superiority. Who know who is right the only ones that know for sure or those that have lived this life and left it, and know what is really after death, and they can't be reached (depending again on your belief). Love life, enjoy it and relish in our differences its what separates us from the animals.

Then perhaps you could tell us the correct way to verify that one of over 2,000 gods is more real than another, as people have the same level of faith in all of them?

Religious belief in god is quite easy to pinpoint with social and cultural study. It's pretty obvious that belief in god is not based on an empirical reality, but on emotional disposition. So why not the things believed in, as well? There is no evidence, just billions of people harping over the correct interpretation of this religion or that.

What reason can you provide for me to believe in your specific god? I hope you have good ones for why Zeus and Thor are not viable alternatives.

With some, or most, it is a matter of Willl. For that matter, it's a matter of wil for all, believer, or not.
God never has, nor ever will force anyone to believe.
It is a choice each one must make.
BTW, a quick lesson in English; it's "Why have atheists failed to understand..."

you're fantastically a lot there. no longer truly, yet fantastically a lot there. you're nonetheless taking into consideration the international and the universe contained in the container, a container created by faith's layout. technological knowledge and the favor to achieve actual comprehension can't be got here across by the romantic and for this reason fantastical musings of the religious. you should attend to to interrupt loose and not in any respect be frightened of what others would label you as a thanks to seek what you've consistently sought.

We don't "fail" to understand anything.

Theists FAIL to understood that the belief in invisible sky deities which no evidence supports is inherently irrational.

Then it is not the God described so well in the Bible.

I simply don't believe it exists.
