obtaining and introducing a bull mastiff puppy, would be no difference to obtaining and introducing a shih tzu or any other small breed puppy. how you raise and treat the puppy.
How you let it fit in the "pack" (the rest of the pack being the other animals) will determine how it will grow up and acts towards them...not the breed.
aslong as you put him or her in their place, and keep them there, then the puppy will grow to have no problems with the other animals, its only when the pack order keeps changing (i.e. you give him/her special treatment then revoke it etc) that the pack order becomes imbalanced and therefore the dog would be likly to try and push their way up the pack. you sociallise them properly with your other animals and you will have no problem.
i had a german shepard, and got a border collie puppy, the pup is now 5.5 months old and i have never had any problems between them as the puppy knows that the shep is above her in the pack order, the shep. gets fed first, treats first etc, and there have been no problems.
mastiffs are big gentle giants anyway, normally very friendly and placing in nature, i dont think you would have any problems agressing wise from one... just watch out with the play, the mastiff would be bigger than the others and it could hurt them it playing a bit rough.

A bull mastiff raised right will be one of the most loving and devoted animals. There is little to NO chance that they would ever exhibit aggression! The only thing is that even as a puppy, he will probably be bigger than your two small dogs, and his rambunctious playing could be too much for your small dogs. He should always be supervised just to make sure that his size could not affect your other pets!
Good luck, they make wonderful pets!

i'm so glad you asked this! I'm considering this breed for myself and I have a 6lb papillon. I have a60lb husky who does wonderfully with him. My papillon comes to work with me at doggy day care and all the dogs there are bigger than him. However, I've noticed that the greater the size difference between he and the other dog, the more care the other dog takes not to hurt him. A large breed puppy, however, will be active and careless (like all puppies) so they'd definitely have to be supervised at all times until the large dog matures. Remember, even large dogs with good intentions can seriously injure a small dog- so they probably should be separated at all times when they're not being supervised.

I do not have a bullmastiff but I have worked with them. They are great dogs. You just have to make sure you train them well that's all (like any other dog) I'm sure he'll get along great with your other animals
