I think it is a valid question. It is hard work. Louise says this person is really nice, and she obviously does NOT want to hurt the person's feelings.

What do you expect from this relationship, Louise? Friendship, dating, something more?

This could definitely work as a friendship, since the person is nice. Maybe could even work as very casual dating. But for a long-term relationship? No, this is probably not the person for you.

Nice is good. Clumsiness can sometimes be found endearing. But intelligence and intellectual stimulation are important for long-term relationships. One has to be able to have stimulating conversation with one's partner, in order to keep the relationship alive.

Good luck to you, Louise.

it's not about coping with someone. its about accepting people for who they are. if you're asking this question because that is how you feel, then i don't think you're in the right relationship. whether it be friendship or a loving relationship.
