2 and1/2 weeks ago i lifted much more weight than i am used to for work. I believe i hurt the muscle in my right arm pretty badly. it still hurts now as if i did it yesterday. it hurts from the shoulder joint down to my elbow and up to my neck. sometimes it is hot pain other times dull, but always pain. I was taking 600mg motrin every 8 hours, but i get a headache everytime i do. So i was taking excedrin for my headache. I dont want to take both, so i have to choose what hurts worse. this headache and shoulder pain have been constant for 2 and 1/2 weeks! is there anything that will help both? ... I know i should see a dr, but i cant afford it, and work wont pay because i didnt report it when it happened.

I hate pulled muscles! I had a groin strain that took forever to heal and it was a real pain. However and please do not try this at home, I was so miffed one night I went to be with a infrared lamp on my groin! I thought if I just lay on the bed with the warmth of the lamp, it would ease the pain. I should point out I have RA, so am used to pain but this was Hades, due to the position. The lamp was working, I know because I nodded off. Due to position I woke up to a interesting odor and have not needed a bikini wax on that side since!
For me heat helped and yes I know while you are working..... However they have these new heat belts on the market and having tried them they work, so while you are at home try one. Good Luck.

you need to just to get a massage that will help and may be a hot compress
