1. Be KIND to yourself. Do the basics like sleeping 8 hours, eating 3 meals and some healthy snacks, and get some stress relief.
2. Get some walking or other good exercise in and breath and relax while you do it. The endorphins help your head and the exercise dumps the stress so it cannot make you sick. Your body and mind will thank you. one hour is a good goal. Walking is free and easy and requires no special equipment. It is proven effective.
3. Get a therapist. Learn good coping skills, stress management and work through some things.
4. Find out who you are. What are your values? What is important to you in your life?
5. Get some joy in your life. What really makes you tick? Are you better outdoors in nature? Are you better in the water? Do you have any outlets such as music, art, yoga, drawing? Give yourself the gift of something you love to do and do it.
6. Get up, get out and help someone else feel better. What can you do to brighten someone's day or lighten their load?
7. Read some self-help books. Focus less on the problem and more on where you would rather be. Once you can identify why you are unhappy, you can work to make it better.
8. Know that as a humans we go through all kinds of emotions, feelings, and thoughts and that it is okay. Help yourself meet your needs.

9.Consider going to Tai-Chi or yoga so that your emotional distress does not run your health into the ground and you can get re-balanced. It may not be something you would normally do, but it is very good in calming the mind and body for life. You might like it.

10. Cut yourself some slack. Remember that the world was not built in a day. Take one step at a time and be your own cheerleader for every step forward you take.

11. Stay sober.

I don't know the root of your pain, but I know you can feel better and life your life true to yourself. Look around and see what you can do to manage the problems and the pain and get started. Consider medication temporarily to level you out if you need it.

Good luck. Hope this helps and is encouraging to you.

as in depression? do you feel like an outcast? if thats what it is, you should probably listen to Three Days Grace, especially their One X album. One X means that outcasts arent alone they just have to look and see whos behind them. also, if youre that depressed, you could write songs, thats what i did, that and One X. really hope this helps
