How many were murdered by the NAZIs in WWII? I bet people didn't know that one either. They didn't kill only Jews.
Read up on Father Maximilian Kolbe, yes a Catholic Priest who is now Saint Maximilian Kolbe. A Catholic Priest who volunteered to be killed in the place of another while in a NAZI prison camp. There are others.
P.S. to The Arkady;
It was Protestants, not Catholics, who forced Native Americans into the churches and "Schools" they set up to "Civilize" the "Savages". In fact, there are many martyrs, Catholic Priests and nuns who were murdered by natives while trying to establish missions in the southwest. They eventually learned to co-exists.

Well, considering that the Franco and the Fascists won their unlawful attempt to overthrow the legally-elected Socialist government, I'd guess that the Fascists (with their Nazi and Catholic supporters) probably killed a hell of a lot more people than the other side...

Please cite. And who killed them, under what ideology? (Do you mean the Spanish Civil War and Franco's bombing of Guernica by Nazis? Not sure you chalk that up to atheism).
