I can't even gain weight except by exercising. Most models go to unhealthy extremes for the sake of weight loss. Don't do that. Your natural metabolism has a lot to do, it's true. My gf is not a naturally high metabolism person and she lost a lot of weight by just counting calories and avoiding synthetic foods. That means no fast food or stuff you can pronounce in ingredients. It should be as much natural food in is primary state as possible. Throw in exercising and you'll be good to go. As far as exercise, it should be something you enjoy doing, rather than a single type of exercise targeted towards weight loss. Don't even make your motive for exercising weight loss. Just make it a fun thing you do and you'll actually get addicted to the way it makes you feel. As far as what you wear, you should really wear whatever you feel comfortable in. If you put on a skirt and you feel self conscious that's going to make way more negative impact on people than if you wear a nice pair of jeans and feel confident. The only guys that would be interested in a girl with a short skirt and low self esteem are the ones who just want sex. If this is your goal then that's fine, otherwise dress whatever allows you to feel confident.

Well I have a BMI of 17 which is too light actually which I mostly do put down to my metabolism (sorry!) because I don't put on weight even when not exercising. Other than that, I used to ride to uni which was about an hour each day, now I have a moped but I run about half an hour each day and do arm weights while watching tv. Usually about an hour a day depending what's on.
There are other small things you can do like changing eating habits which I know is a pain (I like my fast food too!) but simple things like eating a cucumber instead of a can of soda. I know that sounds weird, but seriously, if you keep it in the fridge, there's nothing like a cool cucumber on a hot day!
Personally I recommend the lebanese variety, they're snack sized and tasty!

The most important thing is don't eat 3 square meals a day. Eat 5 -6 small meals/snacks. The biggest should be breakfast, the smallest should be the last meal of the day. Don't eat anything in the 2-3 hours before bed. During the late afternoon, eat as little as possible of cereals like bread or rice, carbohydrates like potatoes and meat. Keep this for the morning or lunch...they give you energy for the day.
You MUST drink at least 8 glasses of water per day or your body can't function to burn off calories or get rid of waste. NO SOFT DRINK/SODA! Juice is good, but does not count toward the 8 glasses of water.
I have a physically active job so I don't need to work out. Do exercise that works for you...house cleaning is good exercise, mowing, gardening...an exercise machine in front of the TV. Cycle/walk to the shops instead of driving.
I'm skinny but the women in my family get overweight during middle age and I don't want it to happen to me...

I am 5'8" I weigh 115 pounds right now. My weight fluctuates between 114 to 120 pounds. I have never been on a diet. I do not believe in them. I believe in eating healthy and exercising. I am comfortable with my weight.
Daily routine
morning: I have orange juice.(I know, I should eat breakfast, bad habit)
Lunch: A sandwich, salad or soup.
Supper: I eat a healthy supper.
protein, carb and lots of veggies.
I rarely eat at night. I drink lots of water
Exercise routine:
I do Martial Arts, MMA, Kick boxing and Contact fighting.
I also belly dance and do ballroom dancing weekly.
I just started doing pilates once a week. When I am training for competition, I also run. I exercise everyday. I love it. :)
To stay motivated in a exercise program, you have to like what you do, I have had this routine for years. If you like swimming, basketball, dancing etc. just start doing a exercise you love. It keeps you motivated doing something that is fun.
Clothes
You, have to feel comfortable wearing the clothes you choose. If you want to wear a skirt wear one, do not let your size determine what you wear. Just feel good about yourself and wear what you like.
My suggestion is to eat healthy exercise and have fun. :)

My wife who has BMI of 23 says you're quite okay. Today international beauty contest rules don't permit contestants below a BMI of 20-21 to compete. Ask your music store for video CDs of Jane Fonda's `Whole body workouts' and keet at them for several weeks on a regular basis, at least every alternate day. I am lucky to be blessed with genes that keep me slim with just 15 minutes work outs each day. Good luck.

i used to be chubby when i was younger but when we moved i got a bike and went on bike rides with my mates, it was fun, easy and in the first month i lost a stone! as for clothes, wear whatever you're comfortable with, there's no rules to say what you can or cant wear, it's up to you. as for the models, they don't eat and snort crack to stay thin and in they end they look ridiculous

I feed myself once a day when I am hungry, when I remember to eat. I don't eat if I'm not hungry. I don't eat sweets much.
Exercise: cleaning house, laundry, mowing lawn, gardening, playing with 2 golden retrievers.
Wear what you want when you want. If you feel good in an outfit...Models work out, follow strict diets, poor dears.
