There are a plenty reasons why I “love” to fear the god in bible so much.

Well it is the old testament and after christ came we live in a new existence in the sense of who christ is as our saviour but i think the shaving of head and the nail trimmings and the clothes to be thrown away were to show she has a new home and her old existence with her people no longer exist but also as it says she was not to be mistreated and let go if it was against her will but if she was taken as a wife she was to be given a home with hospitality. Because of her home being destroyed where was she to go. Sorry you got asked that Q by your child i know its tough to explain to them the significance because they do not have a mind of understanding at such a young age. God bless

You can go, take a woman captive in war, pretty her up, allow her to grieve 1 month then marry her. If you later don't like her, divorce but don't sell her as a slave. This is food for thought for those that strive to take the bible literally. However I should point out that she could have been murdered or just raped instead.

Shaving her head and paring her nails and waiting a month gave him time to see that he would want to have her for a wife and was not just lusting after her, and gave her time and the conditions necessary to be parted from her old ways and learn the ways of godliness.
It wasn't meant to be law for a man to have more than one wife, but was allowed because of the hardness of the hearts of the men. God wants a man to have one wife because Christ has one wife, his church, and marriage is a picture of the marriage of Christ and the church.

...In the Old Testament, God was making an example of what happens to "those" who defile the ways of God... God meant exactly what He said... first try to make peace... if that doesn't work... "send in the B52's". I'm not sure what translation you're using to read it... try the New International version... it's clear English and answers itself quite well.

It means exactly what it says.
Deuteronomy 21:10-14 (King James Version)
10When thou goest forth to war against thine enemies, and the LORD thy God hath delivered them into thine hands, and thou hast taken them captive,
11And seest among the captives a beautiful woman, and hast a desire unto her, that thou wouldest have her to thy wife;
12Then thou shalt bring her home to thine house, and she shall shave her head, and pare her nails;
13And she shall put the raiment of her captivity from off her, and shall remain in thine house, and bewail her father and her mother a full month: and after that thou shalt go in unto her, and be her husband, and she shall be thy wife.
14And it shall be, if thou have no delight in her, then thou shalt let her go whither she will; but thou shalt not sell her at all for money, thou shalt not make merchandise of her, because thou hast humbled her.

Don't worry these things are not in practice.
There are so many Christian women living with Jews without marriage and they do not shave their heads...

Pretty starightforward to me.
Whenyou read the Bible, do not use modern standards to criticize it. Use their standards.

Another place, another time, man. Aren't you glad God sent His Son to move all these OLD testament laws out of our ways?

Yep, nothing like a good Bible passage treating women like they don't really matter. If you want one, you just take her. Wonderful....I mean, what's wrong with that?
