It never crossed my mind... I'm a practical man when you see footprints in the sands you immediately assume that someone has passed this way before, and contemplating the universe it's splendor and directives. Therefore the footprints of a supreme being is everywhere.

It is more likable that a picture frame made itself then for a universe to come into existence on it's own and be in perfect harmony and order ?To deny it is to say a car can drive around the city giving it's own directions ?

Everything had a beginning men, animals, plants...must have been made by something that had no beginning. The whole universe is governed and preserved by IMMUTABLE LAW !

To say the universal order is accidental or planets direct their own courses is foolish !The celestial bodies go there appointed courses age after age.The seasons succeed one another year by year. There is splendor, beauty, arrangement and order everywhere. You plant orange seeds it's certain apples will not spring(accidentally).

The footprints that someone has passed hear before are signatured by God.

God bless,

JMJ

Whether it be a single blade of grass to the vast universe out there, both are too complex to just have appeared without a conductor. Sort of like a symphony orchestra, needing a conductor to make all those instruments produce the harmonious music. I look around and see the results of God's work everywhere. If you consider that each planet out there is placed just so, you cannot believe it occurred accidentally. I read once that this would be the equivalent of tossing a bunch of folding chairs into a room and expecting them to line up in the correct position, open and ready to use.
I have told my children that I love them but they cannot see my love for them only the results of my love for them and if one has difficulty combining science & religion, I think we were evolved as science states but that when God breathed the breath of life into Adam this was actually the breath of conciousness.

Yes, that possibility has occurred to me many times.

In fact, until I was 36 years old I did not believe in the God of the Holy Bible. Prior to that I tried out all the belief and non-belief systems I could study, including believing that I was God. I finally gave up that fantasy when I accepted that I couldn't create a mustard seed, let alone create the kind of world I wanted to live in.

One day, in despair, I looked up and begged Him, saying, "Okay. I finally get it that I am not God. So, if there really is a God...if You are really there and if You really have relationships with people...please prove it to me beyond doubt. And, if there really is one truth, please prove that to me, also. As long as it's not Christianity." (I hated Christians and their religion.)

Then, over the next year, He proved His existence to me several times in very personal ways. So I finally believed that God does truly exist. How could I not?

It took another year before I accepted that Jesus was His Son and a few more years before I finally accepted that I needed a Savior. After all, I was a "good" person compared to Hitler and other "bad" people. It didn't occur to me to compare myself to Billy Graham or Mother Teresa or Ghandi. It took quite awhile before I was willing to compare my "goodness" to the real standard of holiness: God. When I did, I understood how far I fell short of goodness and how badly I needed a Savior.

I was a hard case, obviously. However, I am a strong believer now, for which I am immensely grateful.

Hi there, here we go again ....

So, if we go through life believing that God exists, and come to the end of our lives and find "O no there is no God" then at least we lived a life with expectation. Lead a clean and honest life and well, no regrets.

But ........ what a major dissapointment when you live your life as you want, not care for nobody but yourself and eventully find at the end "O' no there is a God" what a desaster!!!

What have you got to loose, be honest, take the leap of faith and ask Jesus into your heart and don't end up desipointed.

John 3:16: For God so loved the World that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever belief in Him shall not perish but have ever lasting life.

O K, there you have it. and there is no maybe's. God excist and He is doing fine in this evil place called earth.

Take Care

I don't know if you're targeting this at Christians, but here goes. I'm wiccan I believe in God...and Goddess. Have I considered them not existing? Yes I have. Is there proof I can give that they exist other than my experiences and my belief in them? No, of coarse not. Does my belief in them run counter to science and the natural word? No, for me and my beliefs, they actually complement each other.

I have way to much proof to even think that. More proof than I can give you in one answer. I have always heard God talk to me. It's different talk than people talk, but it is always, always right. Now as a grown woman when I think God is listening, when I need to be corrected or encouraged, I get it from God. Many examples, but I guess this will have to do.

I have thought about that before and it is just impossible, God has answered my prayers and has helped me a lot of times when I needed him. The bible makes more since then believing we came from a big bang.

Okay then riddle me this batman...
Is there proof he doesn't exist?
Did all of life on Earth JUST HAPPEN?; or is there a higher power out there.? Did nothing amazing ever happen to you?
and one more question; are you so grounded that you can't see what's right infront of your face or is it the self involvement of said self blinding enough?
