Do not put it in a microwave!
You will ruin it, and you'll probably get food poisoning!
Go buy some more mince meat.

Yes you can defrost the meat in the microwave. Does it have a auto defrost function? If yes, just enter the weight and zap. Alternatively, just cook from frozen. I've done this countless time. As long as the meat is properly cook, no harm done. Won't affect the flavour of the dish either.

You can defrost it in the microwave. For around 500g mince, about eight minutes at around 180W setting, followed by ten or twelve minutes at 90W setting (you'll need to check your microwave instructions to see the equivalent wattage if your microwave shows settings as 'Low', 'Medium' etc) should do it. Check it periodically and remove any mince that appears fully defrosted.

If it was a frozen pre-pack, it's often possible to cook from frozen anyway.

You can use a Microwave to de-frost but they usually burn parts of the meat and make it unpalatable far better to place Mince in a poly bag and leave in 'tepid' water for an hour, this will defrost without damaging meat.

Plenty of time for it to defrost. Leave it covered and out of the fridge on the draining board. Don't try and defrost it in the microwave, it will start to cook it.

Yes you can, make sure you put it on a defrost setting or at half power or less and it should take about 15 mins per Pound (half a kilo)

Interupt at different times to break it up and move it around a little.

Providing it is cooked properly you will not loose any flavour or risk food poisoning.

If beef or lamb you can cook it from frozen. Just put in the pan frying or saucepan on low heat and cook it. Don't defrost in microwave it will go rubbery.

Why bother! Stick it in a frying pan on a low heat and cook it from frozen - then use as per recipe. I do this with mince straight out of the freezer - just make sure every bit of it is brown!

Give it quick blast in the microwave, or put the packet in a pan of lukewarm water. Its been freezing outside, youd have been better leaving it in the fridge
