Can You Freeze Tomatoes

yes you can. I have not personally tried this but a friend of mine does it all the time. Once she picks the tomatoes, she washes them off and dries them and then she cores them and freezes them whole to use later in soups and such. She says she does it all the time.

I freeze mine all the time whole. I make sure I pierce the skin by the stem before freezing though. The skin slips right off when thawed to use them. They work great this way.

i always freeze my tomatoes after picking them, if i have to many. wash and just put them straight into deep freezer. When you need to use them, take out, put in boiling water for about 3minutes, and just peel off the skin with your hands, so easy. then put into your stew, or whatever. The only thing is you cant use them for salad, only for cooking or frying. hope you find this help full.

Yes, you can. I think it might be best to wash and dry them first.

When I freeze fresh tomatoes, I usually remove the skin first.

You cannot freeze whole tomatoes whether freshly picked or not, they have far too high a liquid content which expands when frozen and bursts them. .All you can do,if you have a glut, is to pureé them and freeze the puree.
