What's "too much"? How much is too much? Drinking alcohol is not a disease! Doing drugs is not a disease! It's a choice. So it is a bad choice. Choices aren't diseases. Does anybody know what a disease is? its internal not external like alcohol

I agree with you and many others do, too. It's not that they believe that "drinking too much" is a disease... it's that they believe that alcoholism is a disease... that the addiction is a disease.

Drinking to the point of becoming addicted, is also a choice.

My understanding of the controversy, according to the very brief research I did, is that, by calling something a disease, it qualifies for government funding.. or something like that.

The addiction is real... when a person is up against an addiction, they have gone past the point of choosing and then they need help getting un-addicted. Nonetheless, the addiction is the result of bad choices and is merely an addiction, not a disease.

Nor do I believe obesity is a disease. I probably qualify for being obese. It's poor choices on my part, not a "disease."

Well it sure in hell is a Addiction if its not then you can stop and go cold turkey and not drink for a whole year, and sure its a personal Choice but there consequences ...your liver....
If you ever been to a AA meeting you will hear about all the health problems they have had because of Alcohol

Besides Alcohol is a Poison which is why you feel the Buzz cuase your dying slowly ;)

And what is to much? well personally when a Person can not walk a straight line,or drive a car is to much in my opinion.

I guess basically but Drunk and clumsy would be to much....
I don't drink but I don't see it as a sin as long as in moderation.

Remember to much of anything will kill you .

Addiction is a disease. When you drink alone all the time, that's too much! When you drink and can't stop or control it, that's too much!
