My dad apparently named me after a people group that lives in and around the Caucasus region....He thought the name is/ was beautiful and unique....He changed the pronunciation slightly.....I love it....
My dad is a orthodox Sephardic Jew from Israel and his family is from Syria, the Damascus region, and he actually went back to Syria (Very dangerous for a Jew) when he was younger and that is where he heard it apparently...It was the name of a minority people group there....
My name is, "Adyghe"....

My first and second name were saints names. Mark and Andrew (also after my grandfather Andreas Michael). My parents gave me these names in hope that I would emulate these men, and a latent Lutheran belief in Guardian Angels, and Patron Saints.
I'm trying too live up to the names, it was a tall order to put on a new-born, but I love my parents for it.
Mark

Sara cognate of Sarah: Means "lady" or "princess" in Hebrew. This was the name of the wife of Abraham in the Old Testament. She became the mother of Isaac at the age of 90. Her name was originally שָׂרָי (Saray), but God changed it (see Genesis 17:15).
Not a princess but yeah I'm a lady.

My first name means "God will judge me", so I hope it doesn't fit, LOL. I actually always hated my first name but not for that reason. I think I look more like a Dale than a Daniel.

My first name is Heather, and it is named after a delicate pink flower.
No, it does not fit my personality. I am a 6 foot amazon who could bench press a yugo, there is nothing delicate about me, and i detest pink. People are always telling me I am very beautiful and confident, but no one can accuse me of being delicate.

Uh, not really My name too is Heather and I'm kinda aggressive and strong willed. Not so much the delicate pink flower (it comes in a purplish grey too, which is much better than pink).
Funny story though... My son's name is Esa (traditionally spelled Asa) which is Hebrew for first born son, which he is (that's not the funny part) I spelled his name Esa and it turns out that that is Hebrew for "rough hewn" , which he definitely is!!!!!

My first name means "Christ Bearer"
Considering that I am an atheist, it really doesn't fit my personality at all lol. However I do fit the stereotype of the name. (good looking and intelligent)

Geoffrey- From an Old French form of a Germanic name. The second element is Germanic frid "peace", but the first element may be either gawia "territory", walah "stranger", gisil "hostage" or god "god"
yes.
notice how "hostage" and "god" are one in the same in this context.

My name means " Beautiful Blessing", and my mother chose it on purpose. I wish I could say it fits my personality, but ... Well, at least it's nice to know my mother thought so!
