has anyone ever heard of an allergy to cats where it effects your skin? makes you very itchy all over the body to the point of insanity?

it's not fleas, we check for that every month.

ya i get that to... i asked the doc. and got tested and found out i was allergic to cats, pork, penicillin, pollin, and dust mites. you should really go get tested.

Yes, pet allergies can affect your skin. If my cat scratches me then it swells up and really itches but a friend of mine can't touch the cat or she gets a rash and itching. Allergies affect different people in different ways and to different extents.

Allergy to animals is common. In our family we cannot have any hairy or feathered pet. About cats I found this: "Some people are allergic to the animal's saliva, particularly cats. Cats have saliva that contains a protein known to cause allergy."

no not really maybe your cat has fleas.......if u have lil red bumps that itch i bet thats it lol take benadryl and see if that helps
