They call acupuncturists quacks, and they dismiss the evidence that alternative healthcare has healed the symptoms of hundreds of thousands of Americans? (And uh, no -not just of the Asian persuasion.) For you Traditional doctors, has this mindset presented emotional or spiritual challenges to you in your practice?

Why is there little exposure of traditional medicine in mainstream publications?
I can't think of a single colleague, neighbor, acquaintance or friend that I've met who has never considered or known someone who's sought acupuncture or taken herbs.

In case you haven't noticed, medicine has a tendency to swallow and claim these procedures as the practice of medicine. Even acupuncture. Everything else is quackery. Until they claim it. Even nutrition was not excluded from their list. Until it became a requirement in selected medical schools a few years back. The common response before that was, "You get ample supply in the foods you eat." Most of the people in here are not old enough to remember those times. One of the larger ones in the 60's was the electro-magnetic treatment used by chiropractors. Yet it remains one of the mainstays of medicine today.

One thing one needs to be aware of; the US is number 37 in the effectiveness of treatment in all of the industrialize world. Are taking over the lead in infant death syndrome. Something is rather amiss in the training of our hypocratic associates. One of the reasons there is such a high cost for their malpractice insurance.

More and more people are becoming aware of this deficiency and are looking more into the natural healing available for them. This is the direction of my method of treatment for more than 40 years. Seems to work well!

I do not think they are afraid, but they want like everything else a 'quick fix!' I have a headache so easier for me to pop a pill, then to try and figure out why I have the headache, let alone wait and seek some form of natural health care. I have RA but have used and still use all the weapons within my power, from studying Rheumatology, Hematology, Immunology, to taking Evening Primrose Oil, exercise, massage, the list just goes on. RA is a chronic disease with no known CURE, some people find that hard to take on board because we want a quick fix. However the word CURE, is used so often that when faced with RA, they go into depression. They become afraid of the disease, not the treatments, let alone full spectrum of beneficial assistance they could avail of. However Doctors are trained in one category of medicine that based on science, hard facts, seeing is believing. They prescribe drugs, for some it will work, for others it will not, because we are not all clones! Therefore it is up to the person, the individual to take control of their life and their health, in my book the best way they know how. My Physician is excellent and if I went in and said 'If I stand on my head for eight hours a day, I feel better' he would not laugh, he would say 'Good keep it up!' Reason because HE knows my RA has no cure, no pill, no quick fix.

Alternate systems of medicine can only help you if you suffer from chronic non - infectious disease.
People want medicines because it is easy to swallow and go for work. Therefore they prefer disease management.
The drug manufacturers have good relations with politicians all over the world, hence all laws favour them and budget provisions are made for them, not the A. M. Systems. Thus government support is absent hence there is no money with therapist for advertisement. On the other hand ministers advertise certain products on many occasions and help drug manufacturers.

There is no medicine for H/A, RA, OA, Back ache and almost all painful diseases. Hence they become chronic.
Alternate systems of medicine can only help you.

Because either they are mostly behavioral diseases or Acidity, WORRY, sadness, excessive wind, cold , heat, sour food and sinusitis, constipation, intestinal inflammation; drug side effects, stress, bad smell, TV & COMPUTER SOMETIMES,
Blockage in the flow of Vital Energy, BODY CONSTITUTION etc are their causes. None of them can be treated with medicine. Our 90% success in treating all pains confirms it.

Acupuncture is the best treatment. Doctors avoid to tell this truth to patients as a part of their business and you go with meds.

Naturopathy and YOG treat them but you don't like it.

Pain killers don't treat the pain but we loose the sense of pain for some time; in that duration our body itself treats sometime and credit goes to meds.
The useless drugs have tremendous power of side effects like liver/kidney failures, ulcer, inflammation of intestines and lot more. Even then people go behind meds and governments don't take its' cognigence.
The Infinite Energy component of our Vital Energy in our body helps many patients.

Because natural health care is about prevention and being responsible for oneself instead of physicians and pharmaceuticals. There is A LOT of money to be lost if more people keep realizing that complementary and alternative medicine works and saves them money.

big money pharmaceuticals. so the doctors are swayed, as well as the public. there's no money to be made by healing with au naturel or by common sense care of the body/mind. at some point the side effects of medications will add up the same as lead in toys from china.
