In Italiy we say "Adoro la mia famiglia" or "Voglio bene alla mia famiglia" rather than "Amo la mia famiglia" that would be the literal translation.
"Voglio la mia famiglia" translates " I want my family"

as to the second phrasing we say "Voglio bene alla mie sorelle" or "Adoro le mie sorelle" and also "Amo le mie sorelle" but IN NO WAY "Voglio le mie sorelle" (I want my sisters).

I would argue that "amo" is more of a romantic sense of love.

Voglio bene la mia famiglia
Voglio bene le mie sorelle

What a cheater the person above to change it after I corrected her error.

So...

I love my family = Voglio la mia famiglia
I love my sisters = Voglio le mie sorelle

I don't care if I get the 10 points or not, as you said YOU corrected me, so I did correct what was wrong, next time don't be so ingenuous, just answer without correct people... duh!
